We're Not a Corporate Operation. We're Cape Cod.
Skydive The Mills is a family business in the most accurate sense — husband and wife, one airfield, and a whole lot of passion for aviation and people.
Chris grew up at this airport. Literally. His dad brought him here as an infant, and he never really left. He took over as airport manager in 2012, and that's when he and Caitie took the reins together: running the field, banner towing, and biplane rides as a team.
For years, the two of us were also deeply involved in supporting drop zone operations with the previous company’s owners. When the opportunity to purchase it came up in 2019, the decision wasn't hard. We bought it, took over, and haven't looked back.
Today, Chris keeps the aircraft in the air: maintaining the planes and occasionally serving as your jump pilot. Caitie runs the office, coordinates everything behind the scenes, and even learned to skydive.
The face greeting you when you walk up though? That’s all Effie. The official Skydive the Mills dropzone dog, Effie is a fluffy rescue who traveled all the way from Tennessee and decided Cape Cod suited her just fine. She had a tough start in life, but you'd never know it. She's shy at first, but always loving and happy to see new faces. If she drops a ball at your feet and barks, consider it a compliment. She wants to play.
When you jump with us, you're not a transaction on a spreadsheet. You're a guest at something Chris and Caitie (and Effie) have spent their lives building, and we take that seriously.
